Before you board
- How long
- 60 minutes aboard; arrive 15 minutes early, about 90 minutes in all.
- Who can dive
- Recommended for ages 9 and up. Children from 7 can join a family group as paying players; anyone 9 or under needs a paying adult in the room with them.
- How hard
- Captain Nemo is rated 7 out of 10 and Kraken: Nemo’s Revenge 8 out of 10. Clues are generally easy to find but hard to decode; the gamesmaster sends extra clues whenever you ask.
- Which first
- Either chapter can be played first. Each is a separate room with its own set and puzzles.
- What to expect
- Stretches of darkness and flashing light. No crawling and no smoke. Narration and clues in English; one comfortable reader is enough for the logs.
- Private
- Every dive is private to one booking. Phones stay ashore in free lockers; a panic button opens the hatch early.
- What to wear
- A naval greatcoat, a diver’s jersey or full steampunk brass and goggles are all welcome. Closed shoes are the one rule of the deep.
Bookings and prices are on escapethis.com.au. For everything else about the rooms, the official site is escapenemo.com.au.
